Face book and the social media story

I am now on digg, friend feed and Twitter. Still trying to work out why and how it will help. I know that I am missing something important when comes to the whole social media thing. It would be easier if I could master the geek bit, once you know how to link different systems together then one post does all.
I am still working on this in the mean time I have found a useful guide to move us forward.
